Det är många födelsedagar att fira så här på försommaren. Jag gör några extra kort att ha på lut, de kommer garanterat till användning! På det här kortet har jag stansat ut ett hjärta ur en bit papper och monterat detta med 3D-kuddar över ett stämplat motiv, för att få lite djup i kortet.
There are a lot of birthdays coming up now just before summer. I will make a few extra birthday cards to have some ready for when I need them.On this card, I punched out a heart shape from a piece of cardstock and mounted it on top of another card with a stamped image, using foam squares.
Motivet är stämplat med olika färger. Jag målade direkt på stämpeln med några olika nyanser av Distress Markers och återfuktade sedan stämpeln genom att andas på den. Man ser inte supersmart ut när man gör just detta steg, men det funkar! :)
The image is stamped in a variety of colours. I painted directly on to the stamp using some Distress Markers and then re-wet the stamp by breathing on it. You don't look super smart when doing this, but it works! :)
Pappret till själva panelerna kommer från ett av Reprints egna fina papper, utskuret och fäst med en enkel raksöm.
The paper used for the panels are from one of Reprint's own paper collection, cut out and adhered with a simple stitch using my sewing machine.

Choklad är gott, i alla lägen. Om den dessutom innehåller en krämig cocosfyllning så är den ju rent av oemotståndlig! Micke och Helena på Svensk Scrapbooking bjöd på en chokladbit, under förutsättning att den först fick fungera som inspiration för ett alster. Eftersom jag gärna ville hugga in på godiset så fick det bli ett snabbt kort.
Chocolate is nice, always. And it gets quite irresistible if it also contains a creamy coconut filling! I received a nice piece of chocolate from Micke and Helena at Svensk Scrapbooking, given that I first let it inspire me in my scrap booking. So I made a quick card, since I really, really, wanted to take a bite of that sweet chocolate.
Älskar min nya die "Chloe stem" från Memory box. Här stansade jag ut ett par stycken i turkos cardstock, de kikar fram där under blommorna.

Mors dag infaller i år den 26 maj, så än finns tid att göra ett kort om man vill hylla en mamma! Här har jag använt Reprints egna mönsterpapper, sytt en enkel raksöm med symaskinen och petat upp kanterna på några ställen runt om sömmen för att få en lite "shabby" stil.
On May 26, we celebrate Mother's Day here in Sweden, so there's still time to make a card if you want to celebrate a mom! For this card, I used the patterned papers from Reprint and make a simple stich using my sewing machine along the edges. I distressed the edges just a tiny bit here and there, just to get that "shabby" look.
Pappret med blommor är från ett klippark med blometiketter. En del av etiketten döljs av en kakservett med en stämplad text i mitten. Fjärilarna har jag klippt ur baksidan av samma rosa papper som jag stämplat på. En bit organzaband med fågelmönster på är invikt bakom etiketten och några rhinestones ger det där lilla extra blinget! :)
The flower-patterned paper is actually a die cut, from a sheet with flower labels. Part of the label is covered by a doily, with a stamped sentiment in the center. The butterflies are cut out from the back of the pink paper which I used for the stamp. A small piece of folded organza ribbon with a bird pattern is tucked in under the label. A few rhinestones give that extra bling! :)

Akvarellpapper är såklart gjorda för att tåla fukt bra, så de är perfekta om man vill jobba i många lager utan att pappret blir förstört. Här har jag testat att göra fyra ATC:er (Artist Trading Cards) med lager på lager av akrylfärg, stämplar, masker, texture paste, washitape och stickers. Det lilla formatet är perfekt om man lider av vita-papper-skräcken - de här små korten i 2,5 x 3,5 tum är inte särskilt läskiga.
Watercolor paper is obviously made to hold some water, which makes them perfect to work with layers and moist without tearing the paper. Here's a series of four ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) using layers and layers of acrylic paint, masks, texture paste, washitape, stickers and what not. The tiny format is perfect for anyone suffering from the white-paper-fear. These cards in 2,5 x 3,5 inches are not very intimidating.

"Altra nåt" sa Micke och Helena på Svensk Scrapbooking. Så då gjorde jag det. Och denna kista hamnade på Framsidan!

Lådan är av trä och till att börja med täckt med ett tunt lager vit akrylfärg. Sedan använde jag transfertecknik till att få dit massor av olika pappersbitar i romantiska mönster och färger. Jag var inte så noga när jag limmade, ville få en lite "shabby" look.
The wooden box is first covered in a thin coat of white acrylic paint. Then I used a transfer technique to add pieces of paper in romantic and soft colours. I wasn't particularly particular when I glued them down, since I was going for a slightly "shabby" look.
Jag stämplade med en vattenfast dyna lite här och där med olika mönsterstämplar, utan kloss så att de blir böjliga och går enkelt att bara använda delar av stämplarna.
I stamped using a waterproof stamp pad, randomly using background stamps without the acrylic block, making the stamps more flexible.
En superfin mask och texture paste här och där, sedan lite färgstänk ovanpå det.
I used a mask and some texture paste in different places, and then some splatters of acrylic paint on top of that.
Och så till sist dekorerade jag med blommor ...
And finally I decorated the lid with flowers ...

Istället för en blomma kan man påta ihop ett litet tag pocket album och kanske fylla fickorna med förpåsar? I det här albumet har jag varit lat och använt mig av de färdiga tagsen som finns på klipparken från Reprint. På ett annat klippark finns gammeldags etiketter, och en av dem måste ju bara vara gjord för mig, eller vad säger ni om "McGregor's Floral Gems"! Underbart! :)
Instead of a flower - why not bring a tag pocket album? The album could be filled with seed pockets, but for this one I decided to take the easy way out and use the ready-made tags on the Reprint design paper. A set of vintage labes ca be found on another one of the papers, and one of them must have been done purely for me - "McGregor's Floral Gems"! Love it! :)
Stämpeln säger allt ... här har jag stämplat på ett cardstock som har lite linnestruktur. Rosorna på etiketten har fått lite bling av stickles, och några finfina nya blommor räcker sen som dekoration. Längs kanterna av omslaget har jag fäst en rosaprickig washitape som jag blir glad av, är den inte läcker? Här och där syns stänk av turkos akrylfärg, den är utspädd med vatten så den gick lättare att sprätta omkring med en pensel.
The stamp says it all ... here I stamped on a cardstock with a linen structure. The roses on the label sparkles from stickles, and a few cute flowers is all it takes as decoration. There's a pink dotted washi tape (makes me happy!) along the edges of the cover. Here and there are splashes of turquise acrylic paint, diluted with water so it was easier to splatter away with a brush.
Här ser man hur albumet är uppbyggt - det är åtta fickor som sitter fast i varandra bara med en sträng lim i mitten, så att det blir en dragspelseffekt när man öppnar.
Here's the tag pocket construction with eight pockets, attached to each other only with a little glue along the middle so that they fold out as an accordion when opened.
Alla de fina tagsen är utskurna från pappret och dekorerade med ett litet prickigt organzaband.
All the pretty tags are cut out from the paper and decorated with a piece of dotted organza ribbon.
Äntligen är våren i luften!

För snart två veckor sedan var jag på en stor träff i Stockholm, det var jag och en sådär 1000 andra tjejer (och några killar för all del) som träffades i Annexet och pysslade i dagarna två. Jag är ju typ världens långsammaste scrappare och usel på att scrappa i grupp men detta lilla tag album lyckades jag i alla fall åstadkomma.
Two weeks ago, I spent the weekend in Stockholm on a big scrap- and pearl event. Me and roughly 1000 more scrapping girls (and a few boys as well actually) met up and crafted away for two days. I am somewhat of a slow scrapbooker and do not perform well in large groups, but I managed to create this little tag album.
Jag letade i gömmorna och lånade även ihop en del material, tack Marie för stämplarna och Madde för washitejpen! Och Viktoria som har coolaste butiken Supernajs för dina glada tillrop! Utan er vet jag inte hur det hade gått! :)
I dug deep into my stash for this one and also borrowed some of the material from friends - stamps (thanks Marie!) and washitape (gorgeous collection Madde!). And I got cheered on by Viktoria (who has the coolest webshop Supernajs). Thank God for great friends! :)
Jag gjorde själva grunden på tagsen med lite vit färg och ovanpå det transfer från mönstrat papper. Samma teknik som jag använde för detta tag album.
The base for the tags is made with white acrylic paint and then a transfer from a patterned paper, the same technique as I used on this tag album.
Jag gillar verkligen dessa små tag album, inte för att jag vet riktigt vad jag ska ha dem till men huvudsaken är att det är kul att leka fram dem! :)
I really enjoy making these little tag albums. I don't quite know what to do with them now that they are finished, but that's OK as long as I have fun making them! :)

Medan vi väntar på våren passar jag på att visa en canvas med ett riktigt somrigt budskap. Grunden är ett av Reprints fina papper som jag fäst vid en vanlig canvasduk med hjälp av ett lim, exempelvis Multi medium eller Glue n' Seal. Över pappret har jag målat med ett tunt lager gesso utspädd med vatten, bara för att dämpa färgerna i pappret lite. Runt kanten har jag fäst en fin spets, även här har jag använt lim.
While we are eagerly waiting for spring, I'd like to share a canvas with quite a summery feeling. The base is one of Reprint's pretty papers, adhered to a regular stretched canvas using a matte glue, like Multi medium or Glue n' Seal. I used a gesso wash over the whole paper, just to soften the colours of the paper a little. Around the edges I attached a pretty lace, also here using the matte glue.
Den söta flickan håller en pappersros i sin hand. Lite stickles ger en skimrande effekt.

Små rhinestones här och där ger lite extra bling till tavlan. En fjäril passar fint på temat sommar tycker jag!
Tiny rhinestones are scattered over the canvas and a butterfly seems appropriate to the summery theme!
Texten är stämplad på ett mönstrat papper, utklippt och fäst på canvasen med lim. För att undvika bubblor är det bra att ha lite lim både på baksidan av pappret som man ska fästa och på platsen på canvasen där man ska fästa det. Och till sist ett tunt lager ovanpå pappret, för att "försluta" det. Jag har använt en vattenfast stämpel just av den anledningen, så att inte texten skulle flyta ut när jag la på det sista lagret lim. Dessutom är Versafine stämpeldynan perfekt för detaljerade stämplar, som textstämplar.
The text was stamped on another patterned paper, cut out and fixed to the canvas using matte glue. To avoid bubbles when adhering paper to the canvas, a good tip is to use some glue on the back of the paper as well as some on the canvas, just about where you will ad the paper. And then, a final thin layer of matte glue on top of the paper. For this reason, I used a waterproof stamp pad, to avoid the text from smudging. Besides, the Versafine stamp pad is perfect for detailed stamps, such as texts.

Med ett vackert papper, underbara blommor och lite säckvävsband från Reprint så gör korten praktiskt taget sig själva! :)
A beautiful paper, some lovely flowers and a little piece of burlap from Reprint and the cards are practically done! :)
Att använda "mattor", det vill säga att montera bitar av papper ovanpå varandra skapar höjd och inramning. Att dessutom fästa mattorna med distanskuddar (3D-kuddar) ger ännu mer dimension. De vackra nya blommorna gör sig fint i grupp, inte sant? Här pryder en pin sin plats mitt i blomsterängen ...
Using "mats", mounting pieces of paper on top of each other, creates dimension and a frame for your decorations. Add foam squares to the equation and you get even more depth to your cards. The beautiful new flowers look great in a group like this, and the little pin looks just right there in the middle of the bouquet ...
Nästa kort använder nästan samma princip. Här har jag dessutom använt Sticky-back canvas som bas för en stämplad text. Säckvävsbandet och blommorna kompletteras av de rosa nyanserna i bakgrundspappret.
The next card s built using practically the same basic design. Here I used Sticky-back canvas for a stamped sentiment. The burlap and the flowers really complement the pink in the background paper.
Sticky-back canvas är roligt att jobba med och går lätt att färga in med distressdynor eller som här med distress stains. Som namnet anger så är baksidan självhäftande, men för säkerhets skull så har jag förstärkt lite med en raksöm runt kanten. Jag har stämplat texten med en vattenfast dyna så att den inte ska smetas ut. Man kan naturligtvis även använda Versa Craft dynor som ju är avsedda att använda på tyg.
Sticky-back canvas is really fun to work with and is easily colored using distress pads or, as in this case, distress stains. As the name indicates, the back is self-adhesive but I still added a single seam along the edges. I stamped using a waterproof stamp pad, and you could definitely use the Versa draft for this purpose, since they are made to be used on fabric.

Äntligen är det påsk! Godisskålen är full, och en av mina favoriter är chokladkaniner, ni vet de där inslagna i guldpapper och med en liten bjällra runt halsen? Det här lilla kaninskämtet är bland det roligaste jag vet, jag börjar fnissa bara jag tänker på det ... :) Ett enkelt kort att lämna över tillsammans med påskägget, kanske finns det en chokladkanin däri?
Easter is here at last! A lot of sweets are being eaten, and one of my favourites is chocolate bunnies, you know the kind that is wrapped in gold paper and with a little bell around the neck? This little bunny joke is amongst the funniest I know, it really makes me smile just thinking about it ... :) A clean and simple card to give with the Easter egg full of treats, perhaps there's a chocolate bunny in there as well?
De fina rosa Basic Collection pappren från Reprint gör sig fint mot de chokladbruna kaninerna som är utstansade med en die från Tim Holtz. Den prickiga plattan och den vita vågiga plattan bakom är utstansade, med dies från Sizzix. Pratbubblorna har jag skrivit ut på datorn och klippt ut.
The pink crisp and clean papers from Reprint's Basic Collection work perfectly with the chocolate brown bunnies (cut out using a Tim Holtz die). The dotted mat and white scalloped mat underneath are also die cuts, using dies from Sizzix. I used my office printer to print the speach bubbles onto white smooth cardstock and cut them out with scissors.
