The Christmas card production is at full swing in my house, maybe in yours as well? My family let me play Christmas songs on the stereo even though it is "only" November and I really appreciate it. What's better then lighting a few candles and just let the Christmas spirit into the scrap room? Here's another take at the card Marie did at the retailer's weekend we had in October at Reprint, with "double" embossing.
Jag har använt alcohol inks för att få till den mönstrade bakgrunden, och då behöver man en glansig yta annars sugs färgerna in för fort, till exempel glossy cardstock. När bakgrunden är klar så körde jag den genom min Vagabond med en embossingfolder. Därefter drog jag försiktigt med en embossing stämpeldyna över det embossade området och hällde över guldembossingpulver. Om det fastnar pulver på områden utanför så kan man borsta bort det med en pensel. Fast jag tycker inte att det måste vara så petnoga! :)
I used alcohol inks for the coloured background. You need to work on a glossy surface (like glossy cardstock), otherwise the alcohol inks will sink right in to the paper. When the background was ready, I ran it through the Vagabond in an embossingfolder. Then I carefully swiped the raised area with an embossing pad and embossed with gold embossing powder. Any excess powder can be whisked away with a fine brush. Although, I must say I like it when it's not too perfect! :)
I mitten stämplade jag sedan en jultext med svart Staz-on så att den sitter ordentligt på det glansiga underlaget. Längs kanterna stämplade jag sedan med splash-stämpeln och embossade med vitt embossingpulver.
I stamped a Christmas sentiment in the middle, using Staz-on so it won't smear. I used the splash stamp and white embossingpowder for the snow-like effect along the edges.
